About The Climate Commons Incubator

The Climate Commons Incubator exists to help Colorado’s climate nonprofits scale their fundraising & multiply their impact.

In a time of rising climate urgency—and shrinking federal support—we believe local action is more essential than ever.

We’re building a new model of climate funding: one powered by people, not politics. Through our Campaign Incubator & growing donor activist network, we help nonprofits activate their communities, raise grassroots funding & build the financial resilience to sustain their work for the long haul.

Who We Are

The Climate Commons was founded by Alexis Rhyner, a climate fundraising strategist with 12+ years of global nonprofit experience and an MBA in Corporate Sustainability & Greenhouse Gas Management. Feeling frustrated with the blatant anti-climate actions of the current administration and after watching too many nonprofits struggle as a result of this attack on science, Alexis built the Climate Commons to help Colorado's climate leaders unlock their next level of impact—using proven fundraising strategies & an entrepreneurial mindset.

Alexis loves to collaborate and meet others working in the space. If you’re interested in partnering on some audacious climate projects, please reach out and say hello!

From Alexis Rhyner, Our Founder:

“I believe that climate action starts locally and scales globally, that communities already have what they need to build climate resilience, and that the future belongs to those who take action, not those who wait for permission.
